While savoring Leschauxs famous home made pies and sipping a tasty cup of espresso, admire the magnificent view from the terrace of this cozy hut. Stretching out before you is unequaled mountain scenery including the Jorasses - "Petites" and "Grandes", the "Linceul", the "Mont Mallet", the Rochefort ridge, and the "Aiguille du Tacul" which terminates the Périades ridge. For rock climbers looking for pure sensations, there are the "Aiguilles de Pierre-Joseph" (3361m) and the Talèfre (3730m) composed of interesting towers and pinacales. Mountaineering skiers will enjoy the hut for the numerous springtime outings possible - towards the Mont Mallet, or the "Jardin de Talèfre" via the "Pierre à Bèranger" or as an overnight stop after the run down the Mont Mallet glacier after climbing to the "Brèche Puiseux", or as resting point for one-day ski tours. |
